I've finally joined this community (been lurking for awhile). I've been a fan of Maurice for years, and always find myself returning to both the novel and the film. Seems I'm not the only one... Anyway, it's great to be here!

i'm so in love with the novel  "maurice". i've just read it and since i've finished it i've re-read each of my favourite passages several times.
now i already think i'll have to own it on DVD, but it seems difficult to  get hold of, which is sad. at least i will be able to borrow it from a videostore or the library and i will do that very ( Read more... )

I read the book for the first time a few months ago and became a bit obsessed, and I watched the film for the first time last night - I'm still a bit giddy, actually.

Anyway, just a couple of questions, seeing as I've had the good luck to stumble across a community filled with other Maurice enthusiasts. :)

Hello, I am new to both this community and to livejournal. I am a very big fan of both the book and movie version of Maurice, and it has had a very strong emotional impact on me that i cannot even begin to describe. I re-read Maurice in the decadent aftermath of a Spanish exam, when I should have been reviewing something infinitely more academic, and found myself at the part where our favorite protagonist first has his dream about A Friend.
